Some veggie potato-patty burgers for your weekend meal, a regular favorite for all and easy to make. Nutritional Value Oh no! this is tough here, as just potato and buns full of carbs, not healthy but yes definitely a cheat meal. Beetroot patty burger, a twist in the regular burger and easy way to hide beets in our kids diet. Nutritional Value The beetroot are a great source of  folate (vitamin B9), fiber manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C Ingredients Beetroot- 3 boil and mashed Potato - 2 boil and mashed Onion- 1 chopped small Garlic- 3 cloves (minced) Coriander leaves- a bunch Corn Starch- 2 tbsp Semolina- 1 tbsp APF- 2 tbsp Salt-2 tsp Pepper- 1 tsp Turmeric- 1/2 tsp Green chilies- optional 1/2 cup semolina to coat the patties before frying , bread crumbs can also be used. 1/2 cup oil for shallow frying 4 patties can be made with this amount Method Boil the beetroot and potatoes together and all the ingredients in it with corn starch and all po\urpose flower which will help to bind it together. Delicious cheese garlic bread, to calm your quarantine lock down cravings, easy to make and you will be favorite in your family for serving them this home made bread. Nutrition The bread combination is half whole wheat and All purpose (AP) Flour, with lots of cheese and garlic. It is a cheat snack and therefore I will overlook the health benefits. Ingredients For Dough 1 cup whole wheat Flour 1 cup AP Flour (Maida) 1 and 1/2 tsp yeast 5  pods Garlic 1/2 cup warm water 1 tbsp oregano 1 tbsp Chili Flakes Salt to taste For Filling 15 pods Garlic 150 gms Mozzarella cheese 1 tbsp oregano 1 tbsp Chilli Flakes 1/2 cup chopped coriander 1/2 cup butter melted Method Mix the dough ingredients in the Bowl or kneading machine and mix everything well, set aside for 1 to 2 hour til the dough rise to double. I say them distant cousin of doughnuts usually, as they lookalike to me. Here, I have made homemade bagels both plain and with sesame seeds around.   Nutrition Value I always use half All Purpose Flour and half Whole Wheat Flour, they are all carbs and fibre , perfect for breakfast. This recipe makes 12 bagels and almost 200 kcal per bagel. Ingredients AFP- 1/2 cup Whole Wheat- 1/2 cup Yeast- 1 and 1/4 tsp Warm water- 1/2 cup Sugar Sesame seeds- 100 gm to roll over the bagel A big pot of boiled water Method Mix flour, yeast and sugar in a dough mixture and add water slowly to form a dough and in a slow speed knead it for 3 minutes. Take it out and let the yeast rise the dough. After an hour the dough will double its size, punch it down to roll it more. Stuffed and deep fried bread to fix occasional fried food cravings, very tasty, goes well with kids for snacks. It a popular street food of India, and served usually as snacks. Nutritional Value Healthy is a far away word for bread pakora. basically the bread stuffed with any stuffing of your choice, and then covered with gram flour paste and then deep or shallow fried. Bread- 160 kcal Filling- 100 kcal Gram Flour - 50 kcal Almost 250 to 280 per piece calorie and total 8 pakoras will be prepared. Crispy Fried Chicken

A very crispy treats for chicken lover's. Homemade fried chicken with mashed potatoes and stir fry veggies. Nutrition Value It's not a regular diet food but definitely acheat meal that too cooked in home. Since it is a deep fried dish the calories are high in take but give it a wink and leave one for cheat days. Ingredients Chicken - half kg Corn starch- 1/2 cup APF- 1/2 cup Salt- 2 tsp Peeper-1/2 tsp Egg- 2 Oil-1 cup for Frying Method Pat dry the chicken and keep it aside. Take two bowl, in one mix two eggs salt pepper and little milk. In another bowl mix the AFP and corn flour with salt and keep aside. Now dip the chicken in egg mixture first and with other hand dip in flour mixture and keep it in wire rack for 20 minutes. Repeat the process then heat the oil in a deep wok. Nutritional Value  These yummies are deep fried in oil, so a lot of munching could effect our crease lines. So munch is limited quantity. This recipe you can make almost 200 bites.
