Dough for Pie

A very simple and homemade pie dough, that can be made ahead of use for the next day or two months if stored in a freezer. Ingredients 3 cups of all-purpose flour 1 tsp cinnamon powder 1 tsp ginger powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp sugar Cold butter- 350 gms Coldwater- 1/4 cup Method In the dough maker put all the ingredients and cut the butter in cubes before pulsing it. Now pulse everything, until it combines together, now add the water slowly till the texture of a loose dough comes together. Now take the dough into a bowl and keep combining until everything comes together. It won't be smooth but keep it rolling and kneading lightly. Once the rough dough is formed put it in a plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge before rolling out and baking the pie. Bring the dough to the platform 10 minutes before flattening it out. Falafel

Origin of falafel is very contested from Middle east to Saudi Arabia, but these fried balls of chickpeas are loved all over the world and here in my home we have it as snack and sometimes the original pita bread way. Nutritional Value Every 100gms of falafel, fried and home made is around 300 kcal, which measures six to eight balls, depends on the size. The dish is all legumes, so it has protein and fiber in it, as it is fried food but also can be baked. Ingredients Chick peas- 1 cup Parsley and Coriander- Chopped bunch each Onion- 1 Chopped Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp Pepper- 1/2 tsp Salt- 2 tsp Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp Oil- 1 cup to fry Method   Soak the chickpeas over night in warm water and drain and wash it in the morning. Dahi Vada

Spongy delicious dhai vada, its a great side dish made with lentils and served in chilled curd, here I have prepared mixed lentil vada and served with curd and chutney.     Nutritional Value Dahi vada is a wholesome protein as is made with lentils and served with curd. Homely Tikki Chaat is my take on our very Indian street food, its taste as good as we eat outside cooked with the comfort of taste of home. Nutritional Value Its main ingredient is Yellow peas and potato which is mix of protein and carb, not a daily diet food, but once in a while use it as a cheat meal. Mango Icecream | Creamy

A very easy and preservative free homemade mango ice-cream for all the mango lovers. Nutritional value The mango fruit is delicious and sweet , it contains over 20 different minerals and vitamins. this ice-cream contains both cream and condensed milk and serves almost 24 scoops of ice-cream. Ingredients Mangoes- 3 medium size Cream- 1cup Condensed Milk- 200 gms Method Peel the mangoes and make a puree in mixer grinder. Now add cream and condensed milk and mix it again. Pour the mix in a freezer friendly bowl and freeze it for 8 to 12 hours. Scoop and beat the heat. Enjoy!

Cheese Garlic Bread | Homemade

Delicious cheese garlic bread, to calm your quarantine lock down cravings, easy to make and you will be favorite in your family for serving them this home made bread. Nutrition The bread combination is half whole wheat and All purpose (AP) Flour, with lots of cheese and garlic. It is a cheat snack and therefore I will overlook the health benefits. Ingredients For Dough 1 cup whole wheat Flour 1 cup AP Flour (Maida) 1 and 1/2 tsp yeast 5  pods Garlic 1/2 cup warm water 1 tbsp oregano 1 tbsp Chili Flakes Salt to taste For Filling 15 pods Garlic 150 gms Mozzarella cheese 1 tbsp oregano 1 tbsp Chilli Flakes 1/2 cup chopped coriander 1/2 cup butter melted Method Mix the dough ingredients in the Bowl or kneading machine and mix everything well, set aside for 1 to 2 hour til the dough rise to double. Bagels | Homemade

I say them distant cousin of doughnuts usually, as they lookalike to me. Here, I have made homemade bagels both plain and with sesame seeds around.   Nutrition Value I always use half All Purpose Flour and half Whole Wheat Flour, they are all carbs and fibre , perfect for breakfast. This recipe makes 12 bagels and almost 200 kcal per bagel. Ingredients AFP- 1/2 cup Whole Wheat- 1/2 cup Yeast- 1 and 1/4 tsp Warm water- 1/2 cup Sugar Sesame seeds- 100 gm to roll over the bagel A big pot of boiled water Method Mix flour, yeast and sugar in a dough mixture and add water slowly to form a dough and in a slow speed knead it for 3 minutes. Take it out and let the yeast rise the dough. After an hour the dough will double its size, punch it down to roll it more.
