Dough for Pie

A very simple and homemade pie dough, that can be made ahead of use for the next day or two months if stored in a freezer. Ingredients 3 cups of all-purpose flour 1 tsp cinnamon powder 1 tsp ginger powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp sugar Cold butter- 350 gms Coldwater- 1/4 cup Method In the dough maker put all the ingredients and cut the butter in cubes before pulsing it. Now pulse everything, until it combines together, now add the water slowly till the texture of a loose dough comes together. Now take the dough into a bowl and keep combining until everything comes together. It won't be smooth but keep it rolling and kneading lightly. Once the rough dough is formed put it in a plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge before rolling out and baking the pie. Bring the dough to the platform 10 minutes before flattening it out. Rotisserie Chicken

Thanksgiving is here, and so is our Rotisserie whole chicken. It can be easily prepared ahead and then we try to make different chicken based recipes from it. It's perfect as the main dish of a simple meal with sides. Ingredients To Brin 1/4 cup of salt  1/4 cup of granulated sugar 10 peppercorns 2 bay leaves 3 cups water Marinate 2 tablespoons butter 2 teaspoons paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme 1 teaspoon garlic minced 1 teaspoon ginger minced Salt and freshly ground black pepper  1 (4 to 5 pound) whole chicken (see note 1) Clean the chicken cavity and rinse it with cold water. Trim any excess skin from the neck area. Set aside. Mix  1/2 cup of salt and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in one cup of water and pour it into a large pot and bring it to a boil. Add enough cold water to the pot to cover the chicken and add the bay leaves and peppercorns. Egg less cakey brownie to fix some sweet tooth cravings in this rainy season. Nutritional Value They are AP flour and cocoa powder brownies, and contains fat like butter and oil. Not very advisable if you are on a diet. Here the recipe makes almost 16 small pieces and my cooking gives around 120 kcal for each piece. AP Flour Cocoa Powder Butter Around 16 pieces and each piece is of 120 calorie. Ingredients   AP Flour- 3/4 cup Cocoa Powder- 3/4 cup Butter- 1/2 cup melted Sugar- 1/2 cup Neutral oil- 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate- 100 gms Curd- 1/2 cup Baking Soda- 1/8 tsp Baking powder- 1/2 tsp Milk- 1/2 cup Some chocolate pieces for end   Method Melt the butter in a bowl and add chopped chocolate bar in small pieces and mix it un-till everything is melted.  Add sugar, curd, oil, milk and mix it thoroughly. Banana Bread | Eggless

Here, I have prepared a very delicious egg less banana bread with dark chocolate chunks in it. Easy to make and stays fresh up to 5 days in fridge. Same recipe can also make around 20 muffins for your next picnic or just snack. Nutritional Value Its a calorie packed snack and the calories also depend on the level of sweetness and butter in recipe. here I have limited the sugar content and the clarified butter is low in quantity so my whole bread give around 12 pieces and 230 kcal for one serving. Dutch Baby Pancake

Dutch Baby Pancake is an easy to assemble breakfast and it poof's like a dream. Its origin is controversial if we look on internet but its a lovable breakfast worldwide. Nutritional Value This recipe will serve 4 people and with filling and cream its around 280 kcal per person. Ingredients Eggs- 3 All purpose Flour- 1/2 cup 
Milk- 1/2 cup 
Sugar- 1tbsp 
Cinnamon- 1/4 tsp 
Salt- 1/4 tsp   Preheat oven to 240 C degrees. Mix all the ingredients except butter until smooth.   Take a heavy pan and heat the butter as soon as it is hot add the batter to the pan and then move back to the oven and cook for 20 minutes or until the pancake is puffed and golden    Remove pancake from oven, cut into wedges and serve at once with any topping of your choice like syrup,fruits etc   Enjoy!

Ingredients Dry Ingredients All purpose flour/Maida- 1 cup Whole Wheat- 1 cup Baking Powder- 1 tsp  Baking soda- 1/4 tsp Salt- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg- - 1/2 tsp Ginger Powder- - 1/2 tsp Instant Coffee- - 1/2 tsp Sugar/Jaggery- 3/4 cup   Wet Ingredient  Pumpkin Puree- 1 and 1/2 cup Ghee/ Clarified Butter- 3 tbsp Vanilla essence- 1/4 tsp Milk- 1/2 cup (adjustable) Method In a bowl first mix all the wet ingredient together and then add the dry items to it.  Now add the dry ingredients and mix them thoroughly. Homie veg burger with moong dal patty is a healthy option from a normal potato patty and taste absolutely delicious. Nutritional Value Moong dal patty is mix with pulses, potato and oat and each patty here is around 150 Kcal. Ingredients Moon dal- 100gms Chick pea- soaked 50 gms Potato- 1 boiled Oat- 1/4 cup Peanut- 1/4 cup  Onion- 1 diced Garlic- 3 pods Ginger-1/2 inch Coriander leaves- chopped 1/2 cup Salt - 1 tbsp Oil- 1/2 cup to shallow fry Masala Mix 1/2 teaspoons of Corainder powder, Amchur Powder, Cumin powder, Turmeric Powder, Garam Masala Method Soak the moong beans for 4 hours, strain it and blend it with  onion, garlic and soaked chick peas In a pan roast oats and peanuts and then crush them into a fine powder.
