Kadhai Paneer| Light

This is my twist on traditional kadhai paneer without compromising the taste but with less oil and the same joy to eat. Nutritional Value The light Kadhai Paneer is a vegetarian dish and has much less oil and just 500 kcal for the whole dish serving five. Ingredients Capsicum - 500 gms- chopped  Paneer/Cottage cheese- 200 gms- chopped Onion- 1 big chopped Garlic- 8 pods chopped Tomato- 1 big chopped Oil- 1 and a half tbsp Salt- 1 tsp Spices-  I tsp each of turmeric, coriander, and garam masala. Method Take a big wok/kadhai and heat it with the oil add first the chopped capsicum and fry in high flame for two minutes then lower the flame and cook for around five minutes. Then add onion, cook for another five minutes, and stir it in every 1 minute. Add chopped garlic, tomato and paneer to it and stir and cook for another five minutes. Gajar Halwa | Easy Way

Quick and easy way to make everyone's favorite winter dessert gajar ka halwa. The traditional slow cooking halwa recipe I have shared earlier in the blog, but this easy recipe is done by my mother and believe me the taste and aroma is still the same.   Nutritional Value This recipe serves an approx 6 bowls with a maximum of 140 calories each. The pudding has carrot, khoya, and whole milk it. It is a rich dessert and considering the fat amount it should be in our occasional cheat list. Today's breakfast special 'Curd and Semolina pancakes' with any number of veggies of one's choice. It can be a perfect snack or breakfast for kids or adults, and it never fails to impress!. Veggies cab be added as per choice, and all variations tastes amazing.   Nutritional Value Semolina, curd are the main ingredients of the dish and protein pack too. This recipe will make around 10 small pancakes with 90 K cal each. Homely Tikki Chaat is my take on our very Indian street food, its taste as good as we eat outside cooked with the comfort of taste of home. Nutritional Value Its main ingredient is Yellow peas and potato which is mix of protein and carb, not a daily diet food, but once in a while use it as a cheat meal. A very easy and preservative free homemade mango ice-cream for all the mango lovers. Nutritional value The mango fruit is delicious and sweet , it contains over 20 different minerals and vitamins. this ice-cream contains both cream and condensed milk and serves almost 24 scoops of ice-cream. Ingredients Mangoes- 3 medium size Cream- 1cup Condensed Milk- 200 gms Method Peel the mangoes and make a puree in mixer grinder. Now add cream and condensed milk and mix it again. Pour the mix in a freezer friendly bowl and freeze it for 8 to 12 hours. Scoop and beat the heat. Enjoy!

Organic Turmeric Powder | Homemade

Turmeric is a very staple spice in Indian food, here I have shared a easy step to step guide to make your own organic turmeric powder at home by using the raw turmeric roots which are easily available in all Indian stores. Both dry and fresh roots can be found, since dry roots needs heavy machine to powder them, so I have used raw roots to make the Turmeric powder. Ingredients Raw Turmeric roots- 1 kg 4 liters of water Method Wash the turmeric nicely so that there is no sand stick to it. Fill a big vessel with water (minimum 4 liters) and let the turmeric boil in it for 30 minutes.   Chop the turmeric in small pieces and spread ina sheet , pan evenly. Dry it in direct sun light until they are hard to feel and no moisture is left in it. It will take 5 to 10 days, depending on the sunlight it receives.
