Gajar Halwa | Easy Way

Quick and easy way to make everyone's favorite winter dessert gajar ka halwa. The traditional slow cooking halwa recipe I have shared earlier in the blog, but this easy recipe is done by my mother and believe me the taste and aroma is still the same.

 Nutritional Value

This recipe serves an approx 6 bowls with a maximum of 140 calories each. The pudding has carrot, khoya, and whole milk it. It is a rich dessert and considering the fat amount it should be in our occasional cheat list.

Total Calories- 1781 kcal
Calories per bowl- 300 k cal each piece

Ingredients
1 and half cup sugar
2 kg- Red Carrot (cleaned)
200 gms - Khoya
2 cups- Whole Milk
1/4 cup mixed crushed dry fruits
2 tablespoons- Clarified butter

Method

Clean the carrot and cut in chunks.

Take big heavy bottom pan or a wok and add a tbsp of clarified butter to it and cook the carrot for minimum 15 minutes in high flame.

Now add one and half cups of sugar to it and and let it cook completely.

The sugar will cook completely with water and now separate the carrot and blend it in a food processor.

Add it back in the wok and add the milk, khoya to it with the sugar syrup.

It will take next 20 minutes in high flame to let everything come together and cook completely.

Garnish with your choice of dryfruits and serve to your dear ones, here I have used crushed cashew and almond.

Happy Valentines Day.

Enjoy!
