Organic Turmeric Powder | Homemade

Image
Turmeric is a very staple spice in Indian food, here I have shared a easy step to step guide to make your own organic turmeric powder at home by using the raw turmeric roots which are easily available in all Indian stores. Both dry and fresh roots can be found, since dry roots needs heavy machine to powder them, so I have used raw roots to make the Turmeric powder. Ingredients Raw Turmeric roots- 1 kg 4 liters of water Method Wash the turmeric nicely so that there is no sand stick to it. Fill a big vessel with water (minimum 4 liters) and let the turmeric boil in it for 30 minutes.   Chop the turmeric in small pieces and spread ina sheet , pan evenly. Dry it in direct sun light until they are hard to feel and no moisture is left in it. It will take 5 to 10 days, depending on the sunlight it receives. Grind it in a mixer grinder and sieve it through to avoid any chunks. Homemade Organic Turmeric Powder is ready to be used in any recipe or drink a healthy turmeric tea or warm turmeri...
