Sweet Raisin Bun

Sweet bun with raisin is very go to snack for kids, just smear butter or jelly and let them have these little doughy cushions.


Nutritional Value

This is half whole wheat and half all purpose flour and the recipe makes 8 regular size buns, each having 150 calories.

Ingredients

All Purpose Flour- 1 and 1/2 cup

Whole Wheat Flour- 1 and 1/2 cup

Ghee or Butter- 2 tablespoons

Sugar : 1 teaspoon

Instant Yeast - 1 and 1/2 tea spoons 

Egg -1

Milk : 3/4 cup (warm around 110 to 115 F)

Salt : 1/4 tsp 

Raisins- 1/2 cup

Honey - 1/4 cup

Method

Mix all the ingredients in a food processor and make a dough.

Mix well for 3 minutes in low speed until the dough is soft and spongy to touch and let it proof for 1 hour in an warm place. 
 
Make the dough ball by folding the sides and making a round ball according to the size you need. 
 
Here the recipe makes 8 regular size bun.
 
Now place the balls in a warm place covered for again 45 minutes till they are double in size.
Apply butter on top and sprinkle some shaved almonds bake it for in 200 C or 390 F on the lower rack for around 30 minutes or until the bun has a golden layer on top.
