Snack for all occasions, mungode are little pakoras made with moong dal and grated cauliflower. These are one of the famous evening snacks from the heart of Madhay Pradesh. Served hot with any kind of chutney on any occasion, they wont fail to impress. Nutritional Value Each 1 cup of moong dal contains around 300 calories with 8g of protein whereas cauliflower contains 50 calories in 2 cups. This recipe with serve 5 people and make around 30 to 35 balls of mungode. Ingredients We need equal amount of grated cauliflower and moong dal 2 cups- Monng dal 2 cups- Grated cauliflower or cabbage ( squeezed well to remove all the access water) 2 tablespoons - Besan (Gram Flour) 2 tablespoons- Rice flour 1 tablespoon- Salt 1 big-  Grated onion A bunch of chopped coriander 1/2 tbsp- Garam masala 1/2 tbsp- Chilli powder 1 cup oil for deep frying. Pumpkin flower fritters (pakora)

A very simple side dish handed from generation to generation. The simple pumpkin flowers are picked washed, and battered for a perfect side dish for our next pahadi meal. PS- This dish is prepared by my Mom and pictures are sent to me by my little sis. Just blogging little memories for future.   Nutritional Value  Pumpkin flowers are very rich in Vitamin A with add-ons of Vitamin C and Potassium . Calories in each flower fritter is almost 10 to 15 calories depends the way you cook it . Ingredients Pumpin flowers- 10 Gram Flour (besan)- 1/4 cup Salt- 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp Garam masala- 1/2 tsp Water- 3 tablespoon  Oil- 1/2 cup Method  Wash the flowers after opening it.
