Pizza Anyone!

Pizza is a global food star which has seized our capability to order especially if you have kids at home. Online delivery gods have definitely eased our life for odd time cravings.
But, if you have a kid with a sensitive diet and you don't want a constant source of preservatives in your body, try this homemade pizza which is made on the stove top, so the oven is also not an issue here.

This recipe serves a 10 inch (small, 6 slice) pizza with a maximum 190 calories each. It is a combination of whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour. So the pizza has good fiber and toppings can be arranged as per choice.

Whole Wheat- 202 k cal
All-purpose (maida) - 182 k cal
Oil- 240 k cal
Cheese- 500 k cal
Total Calories- 1124 k cal
calories per pancake- 190 k cal each piece

Servings- 3

Ingredients
For the Dough
1 cup - Whole Wheat flour
1/2 cup -All-purpose (maida)
2 tablespoon oil (any kind)
1 teaspoon- oregano
A pinch of salt

Yeast preparation
1/4 cup warm water (110 to 115 F)
1 tablespoon- sugar
2 and 1/2 teaspoon yeast

Preparation time-1 and a half hour
Cooking time-12 minutes

Pizza sauce
2 medium size tomato
1/2 onion sliced
6 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon- oregano
1 teaspoon- Italian seasoning

Toppings
1/2 Bell pepper
1/2 - onion
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Dough
In a bowl mix dry ingredients and keep it aside.

Take warm water in a bowl and add sugar and yeast in it and let it stand for 10 minutes as the yeast will get activated by forming the froth.

Knead the dough with the yeast water and keep it covered in a warm place for an hour. As the dough will take 1 to 2 hours to double its size,  depends on the weather condition.


Pizza sauce
Boil all the ingredients together and grind it in a grinder.

In a pan takes 1 tablespoon of oil and saute the sauce till it becomes thicker, add oregano and Italian seasoning with a pinch of salt at the end.


Prepare the pan
Take a stand and put it in the middle of the pan.
 Cover the pizza plate with aluminum foil, spray oil over it and keep aside.


Assemble the pizza
Punch the inflated dough and spread it evenly over the foiled plate.

Spread pizza sauce, toppings and cheese evenly over the surface.


Heat the pan for 5 minutes in high heat before placing the plate.


Place the plate over the stand and cover it. Cook in low medium flame for about 10 to 12 minutes.

Enjoy the hot homemade pizza with a cold beverage!
