Christmas Tree Bread

The holiday season is all about good time with family and happy food. Internet is flooded with creative food ideas so I hooked on one and tried to create a pesto-cheese filled pull-apart Christmas tree bread from pizza dough. I used pesto and cream cheese medley to create some green magic.  Add caption Nutritional Value This pull-apart bread is minimum in nutrition and maximum in fun, so have to control portion as we eat. My Parsley and cream cheese filling are rich in many kinds of Vitamins K, C, A. With the use of pizza dough and cheese the calories definitely shoots up. Hey! holiday season, don't mind. Parsley-Walnut Pesto

My food love keeps flipping when it comes to the level of steps a recipe demands to make. Pesto is my new green love which can be churned in few easy steps. I can have it many ways and each way is simpler than the other. Spread it over toast or mix with boiled pasta its perfect for a quick fix, my favorite way of having it over hot steamed white rice. The one I am describing here is made from parsley (basil is traditional) and walnuts. The creaminess of the walnut goes very well with parsley mixed with olive oil and garlic. Parsley-Walnut Pesto Nutritional Value Parsley is a rich herb and a good source of Vitamin K, C, A, folate acid and iron and if we see over internet hundreds of health benefits are allied with it similarly walnuts are a good source of omega-6 fatty acid called linoleic acid and magnesium. The Great Smoky Mountains

Living in Florida, the sunshine state makes me miss my winters as here the season last only for weeks, so to refresh some wintry spirit we thought to take a short road trip to a near mountain region 'The Great Smoky Mountains' which rise along Tennessee–North Carolina borders and intact ourself with some cold vibes. We started our journey from Tampa on Friday afternoon and drove a little over 3 hours to take a break. Tip- If you are traveling with small children I will advise to search and be prepared in advance for your stops and if you have time search for some outlet near highways or shops like IKEA, Walmart because here kids can easily stretch their legs and you can grab some snack and can freshen up too, so its a win-win. After driving for 6 hours, we checked in at Marietta, GA. The Corning Museum of Glass The essence of an art is beyond imagination when we handle our very own liquid sand ‘Glass' in our daily lives, well, 'The Corning Museum of Glass' features an exquisite collection of the glass world. The whole idea is to present a unique perspective of an unknown world of beauty which moves from its historic roots to the present stature, everything in this museum is so ideally  placed for the art lovers and those who are not will derive to be one. Located in Corning this museum is an almost 3hrs drive from Niagara Falls and near to 5hrs drive from Newyork city, so either way its a perfect stop for some mind-blowing discovery. The place is distributed in sections which comprise of the historical collection to the modern use of glass. My personal side of the gallery is the contemporary glass wing which features unique pieces of art made by creative artists from all over the world. RAWA IDLI

I always try to look for simple and quick recipes and ‘Rawa Idli’ fits it in perfectly. Rawa idli is a version of the famous Indian breakfast Idli which is made from soaked rice and Urad lentils. The one I am preparing here is made with semolina and yoghurt The dish is prepared by steaming the mixture and one can have it at any time of the day. Idli is always served with sambhar or chutney or both together. Nutritional Value Here i have used just two ingredients Rawa Sooji ( semolina) which is best for carb intake and curd is made of milk so these ingredients complimentt each other to present a healthy dish. ‘Phanu' can be prepared from varieties of lentil/legumes and its taste depends on what kind of legume is used. Here, am preparing it from Gath also known as Horse gram, its a household dish of every Garhwal home. Most people know horse gram as a part of south Indian cuisine, but this is one of the most popular legumes of Uttrakhand. Garhwali cuisine is mainly based on lentils/ legumes and varieties of vegetables, nothing fancy is served at hills but they are always packed with flavors. Nutritional Value Horsegram is usually known for its heat content i.e. the basic nature of the legume produces heat in the body, that's why its one of the favorite at cold regions of India. Well, its rich in iron, calcium, and protein but according to old sayings, it should be avoided by females who are expecting.
